Experience.
Outdoor play is an excellent opportunity for children to explore the environment and have adventures. Exploring together, running through the forest, or getting dirty in the mud. Every adventure leads to a new discovery. And every discovery leads to a little bit more awareness: of their surroundings, the environment, and the world around them. We use the Experience domain to encourage every child’s natural curiosity, so that they can make a positive contribution to their community in the future.
Let’s get out in nature
At Skar, we believe it is important for today’s children to be very aware of their environment. For instance: how important are bees to life on earth? And how can we protect them? Our outdoor activities challenge children to look at the world in a purposeful and mindful way. The aim is to develop more love and respect for nature and their own immediate environment. What’s more, the outdoors gives them all the freedom they need to move, and to stay active and healthy. A win-win situation for all of us!
From discovery garden to trash walk
What can you smell? What can you feel? What can you hear? From blowing the seeds off a dandelion to building dens using branches and leaves - our programme emphasises the importance of actively exploring and experiencing the world. The experience is key in this. We also look at the topic of sustainability.
Litter bingo and clean-ups: we make it fun for children to learn what sustainability means, and how they can look after our planet. We lead by example, so that our children grow up to be aware and engaged individuals.
Ready for the future
We are committed to children. We enrich and facilitate their development through our services and range of activities, so that they can grow up to be independent, social and capable adults who make a positive contribution to society today and in the future. The Experience domain encourages the children’s social skills and motor skills. Plus, it helps them think about the future of our planet. Experience: ready for the future.
